(MSA) is a non-profit, statewide organization founded in March 1998 to promote the conservation of Maryland’s wildlife resources and to be an advocate for ALL hunters, anglers, trappers and gun owners throughout the State of Maryland. MSA’s White Paper on Sunday Hunting in Maryland [April 30, 2001] is credited for helping to educate Maryland’s lawmakers on the role played by sportsmen in wildlife conservation…an effort that culminated in the enactment of House Bill 679 at the 2003 Session of the Maryland General Assembly and signed into law on April 22, 2003 by the Honorable Robert L. Ehrlich, Jr., Governor of Maryland – Maryland’s first Sunday hunting opportunity [deer only and only on private lands] since we were under British Rule [1723].
